Approved by CPC Central Committee and State Council, Beijing Design Week (BJDW) is an annual national cultural event and international Class A creative design activities, co-sponsored by the Ministry of Culture and the People’s Government of Beijing Municipality. Since its first start in 2009, BJDW has been held seven times. Each year, the event attracts more than 2000 participants, including designers, institutional representatives, and academic professionals, more than 100 registered media, and over 5 million audiences. It has become the largest design event in Asia, and a public design service platform with international influence and sustainable development in the capital.
2017 Beijing Design Week is hosted by the Ministry of Culture and the People’s Government of Beijing Municipality, undertaken by Beijing Gehua Cultural Development Group and Beijing Industrial Design Center, implemented by Beijing Design Week Co., Ltd.
